Sophen and Sovoeun Travel to Ireland on March 29th
The excitement is building in SeeBeyondBorders as Phan Sophen, Technical Education Manager, and Chhout Sovoeun, Project Manager, prepare for their visit to Ireland on March 29th. They will be there for 2 weeks. This will be Sophen’s second time to Europe representing SeeBeyondBorders and Sovoeun’s first time. In 2016, Sophen traveled to Paris to collect the prestigious UNESCO Hamdan Award, for our work improving teaching quality in Cambodia.
As part of the Cambodia Ireland Exchange Programme, they will be visiting primary and secondary schools, universities and other educational institutions. One such visit, will be to the Irish National Teachers’ Organisation (INTO). They will also have important meetings with key educationalists and potential partners.
Sophen and Sovoeun’s two weeks in Ireland will consolidate existing Cambodia Ireland relationships and build new ones. Their time there will facilitate a mutual sharing of experience, benefiting all organisations in both countries.
This will build on SeeBeyondBorders’ inaugural visit to Ireland last year, when Pheung Pov, Country Manager and Cheut Reasmey, former Operations Manager participated in the programme.
