Unbelievably our first week is over.
What a week it has been. I’m sitting in an ice cream parlour with Colm having eaten yet another beautiful meal. I’m trying to ignore the updates that are telling me that Kerry are beating Cork.
We are having a magical time. We work in the mornings with the teachers and in the afternoons with the Scholarship sudents. They range in age from 19 to early twenties. They are the most amazing group; dedicated to learning but with a wonderful sense of fun. I am learning so much. One of the many highlights has been Colm and I teaching the Walls of Limerick with Cecelia providing the music on her tin whistle. They are such quick learners. Imagine Michael Flatfoot and Byrne in charge. It’s hilarious. Video to follow next week
I must head now because I need to cheer on Mr Federer
